Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and check in merchandise shipments against invoices and delivery manifests.
- Unpack and organize products in the stockroom and prepare them for display on the sales floor.
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with merchandise, ensuring items are front-facing, tidy, and priced correctly.
- Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first (FIFO – First-In, First-Out) and to minimize spoilage or expiration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom and sales floor, including removing empty boxes and packaging.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide basic support when needed.
- Report damaged or missing merchandise to the store manager.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in merchandising efforts as directed.
- Adhere to all store policies and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for checking inventory.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
