Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of documents (legal, corporate, technical, official) from English to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Review, edit, and proofread translations completed by other team members for quality assurance.
- Maintain consistency of terminology and style using CAT tools, translation memories, and glossaries.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure precise terminology and language usage relevant to the subject matter.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and fellow linguists to clarify ambiguities and ensure project requirements are met.
- Adhere strictly to deadlines and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all translated documents comply with relevant legal and industry standards.
- Continuously update linguistic knowledge and stay informed about new translation tools and technologies.
Required Skills
- Native-level proficiency in Arabic (both written and spoken)
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
- Proven experience in legal translation, with strong understanding of legal terminology and concepts.
- Proficiency in using CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast).
