As a freelance photographer for Boma Inn Eldoret, you will be instrumental in enhancing our visual marketing efforts across various platforms, including our website, social media channels, print materials, and promotional campaigns. We anticipate diverse assignments ranging from capturing corporate events, weddings, and special celebrations held at our venues, to still-life photography of our culinary masterpieces, architectural shots of our facilities, and lifestyle imagery featuring our guests enjoying our amenities. Key Responsibilities
- Execute diverse photography assignments for Boma Inn Eldoret, including but not limited to hotel interiors/exteriors, food and beverage, corporate and social events, lifestyle shots, and staff portraits.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Events teams to understand project requirements, creative briefs, and brand guidelines.
- Propose innovative photographic concepts and approaches that align with Boma Inn Eldoret's brand aesthetic and marketing objectives.
- Set up and operate professional photography equipment, ensuring optimal lighting, composition, and technical quality for all shoots.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, color correction, retouching, and final editing to deliver polished, high-resolution images.
- Manage project timelines efficiently and deliver high-quality edited images within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and represent Boma Inn Eldoret's brand positively during all on-site assignments.
- Ensure all photographic work adheres to legal and ethical standards, including obtaining necessary model releases if applicable.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional photography experience, particularly in hospitality, event, or commercial photography.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a strong creative vision, technical proficiency, and versatility across various photography styles.
- Expertise in operating professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment (strobes, continuous lighting, modifiers).
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One.
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, lighting techniques, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction and provide creative input effectively.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, visually stunning imagery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Media Studies, or a related field.
