Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and motivated Palm Oil Processors to join our dynamic team in Ogoja, Cross River. As a Palm Oil Processor, you will be an integral part of our production line, responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery involved in the various stages of palm oil extraction and refining. This hands-on role requires individuals who are attentive to detail, committed to quality, and possess a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various machinery and equipment used in palm oil processing, including sterilizers, threshers, presses, and clarifiers, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform routine quality control checks on raw materials (fresh fruit bunches) and processed palm oil at different stages to ensure products meet Presco Plc's stringent quality standards.
- Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or significant issues to the supervisory team promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, making necessary adjustments to optimize yield and product quality.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of fresh fruit bunches and processed palm products, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, machinery logs, and quality control data, for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and address any operational challenges as they arise.
Required Skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in a factory environment
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and adhere to established procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in an industrial setting

Preferred Qualifications
