Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly proactive Security Manager to lead our comprehensive security operations at Zaranda Hotel Bauchi. The Security Manager will be instrumental in safeguarding the hotel’s assets, ensuring the safety and security of all guests, visitors, and staff, and maintaining a secure environment consistent with our high standards of hospitality. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background in security management, preferably within the hospitality sector or a similar high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures, managing a team of security personnel, and utilizing advanced security technologies to mitigate risks effectively. You will be the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, working closely with various departments, and liaising with local law enforcement agencies when necessary. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols for the hotel.
- Lead, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the hotel's security team, ensuring high standards of professionalism and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend preventative measures.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and fire safety equipment.
- Manage and respond to all security incidents, emergencies, and investigations, ensuring timely reporting and appropriate actions.
- Liaise effectively with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant external agencies.
- Develop and manage security budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources without compromising safety.
- Provide security briefings and training to hotel staff on emergency procedures, loss prevention, and personal safety.
- Ensure compliance with all local security regulations and hotel industry best practices.
- Monitor global and local security trends and adapt hotel security strategies accordingly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security management, preferably within the hospitality industry or a large facility.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent knowledge of security procedures, risk assessment, and incident management.
- Proficiency in operating and managing security technologies (CCTV, access control systems).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with guests, staff, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications
