Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our growing team in Enugu. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company’s network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will be working closely with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our network systems, supporting a diverse range of users and applications. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues, ensuring high availability and security. Experience with network monitoring tools and a strong understanding of network security best practices are essential. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems.
- Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and manage network security policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support to users regarding network-related issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure and configurations.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
- Stay current with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (Cisco, Juniper).
- Experience with network security protocols and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with VPN and other network security technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
- Experience with cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
