Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other electronic payment transactions with precision.
- Verify age for restricted products where applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organised till area, ensuring a pleasant checkout experience.
- Accurately balance the till at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Assist customers with enquiries, locate products, and provide information on promotions.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including security protocols.
- Assist with general store duties, such as stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness, as needed.
- Promote loyalty programs and current specials to customers.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
