Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) for the transportation of goods.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects or damages.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and secure dispatch and collection of items.
- Handle logistics documentation accurately, including waybills, delivery notes, and manifests.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Provide live-in support, ensuring readiness for immediate operational needs or security tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages as required.
- Represent GIG Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E minimum).
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic regulations.
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maps/GPS directions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- SSCE or OND qualification.
- Previous experience as a logistics driver or courier.
