Job Description

The Place Restaurant is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Restaurant Supervisor for our bustling dining service in Ikeja, Lagos. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the dining service area, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of waiters, hosts, and other front-of-house staff to achieve service excellence.
  • Oversee guest satisfaction, promptly addressing any complaints or issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards in collaboration with kitchen staff.
  • Manage inventory of dining supplies, including cutlery, crockery, and linens, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, performance reviews, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Process payments, handle cash, and reconcile daily sales reports accurately.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry (minimum 3 years).
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene (HACCP or similar).
  • Experience with inventory management software.
  • Multilingual ability, particularly in local Nigerian languages.
