Job Description
Access Bank Plc is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Head of Human Resources to lead our comprehensive HR function in Victoria Island, Lagos. This pivotal leadership role will be instrumental in shaping our people strategy, ensuring alignment with the bank’s ambitious business objectives, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture. The Head of HR will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human capital management, from talent acquisition and development to employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and HR policy formulation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust HR strategy aligned with Access Bank's overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
- Oversee talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring the bank attracts, hires, and retains top talent across all levels.
- Design and manage comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and equitable, in line with industry standards.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, feedback mechanisms, and talent reviews.
- Develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, capabilities, and career progression.
- Manage employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, and resolving workplace conflicts effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Nigerian labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive workplace culture.
- Utilize HR analytics and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning.
- Oversee HR budgeting and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization.
- Implement and manage HR technology solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in strategic human resource management and organizational development (minimum 10 years in a leadership HR role).
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and industrial relations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
