We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic healthcare team at Bwari General Hospital. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including range of motion, strength, balance, coordination, and pain levels.
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on evidence-based practice and patient-specific goals.
- Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and functional retraining.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, pain management strategies, and home care programs.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to hospital standards and ethical guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, and students, contributing to their professional development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in physiotherapy.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Manage a diverse caseload, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid license to practice Physiotherapy in Nigeria (e.g., from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria – MRTBN).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC clinical experience as a Physiotherapist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions.
- Proficiency in various physiotherapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
