Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Execute complex repairs on engines, transmissions, differentials, steering, suspension, and braking systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, lighting, and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicle components and parts as required for repair or replacement.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any additional observations.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended repairs, and estimated costs and timelines.
- Operate and maintain specialized garage equipment and tools safely and efficiently, ensuring their proper calibration and care.
- Keep the workshop area clean, organized, and safe at all times, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and training programs.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting across various vehicle makes and models.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, including engine, transmission, and braking components.
