Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional, reliable, and experienced Private Transport Driver to join the Kivu Paradis Resort team. This critical role involves providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services to our guests, ensuring their journey to and from the resort, as well as during excursions, is seamless and pleasant. As a key representative of the resort, you will be responsible for creating a positive first and last impression, embodying our commitment to exceptional customer service and safety.
Your duties will extend beyond mere driving; you will act as a local ambassador, providing insights into the area, assisting with luggage, and ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of passengers at all times. This position demands a keen sense of responsibility, excellent time management skills, and an unwavering dedication to safety and professionalism. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness, performing routine checks and reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport resort guests to and from destinations including Kigali International Airport, local attractions, and other requested locations.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean, well-maintained, and in excellent working condition, performing daily checks on fuel, oil, tires, and lights.
- Adhere strictly to all Rwandan traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing passenger safety above all else.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and personal belongings.
- Maintain a courteous, professional, and discreet demeanor with all passengers.
- Plan and execute efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and guest preferences.
- Provide basic information about the Rubavu area, local culture, and attractions when requested by guests.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents immediately to resort management.
- Be available for scheduled and unscheduled driving assignments as required by resort operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan driving license (Category B or higher)
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a hospitality or private transport setting.
- Impeccable driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Thorough knowledge of Rubavu, Gisenyi, and surrounding Western Province road networks.
- Excellent command of English and Kinyarwanda; French is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and minor maintenance checks.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a polite and helpful attitude.

- Experience working in the hospitality or tourism industry.
