Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Shop Cleaner to join our team in Rustenburg immediately. This is an urgent requirement to ensure our retail premises maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a pleasant and safe shopping experience for our valued customers and a healthy working environment for our staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the store is spotless and well-maintained at all times. This role requires an individual who is proactive, thorough, and takes pride in their work, understanding the critical importance of a clean retail space, especially one with high foot traffic. You will be a key part of our operational team, ensuring that our store reflects the quality and care Shoprite is known for. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Dust and wipe down shelves, display units, checkout counters, and other surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of staff rooms, offices, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order and stored correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards observed during cleaning.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols.
- Manage cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and informing management when reordering is necessary.
- Assist with specific cleaning tasks as directed by the store manager.
