In this pivotal role, you will be the face of our company, responsible for the professional installation, activation, and maintenance of satellite television and internet systems for our valued residential and commercial clients across Orlu, Imo State, and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional installation, alignment, and activation of satellite dishes (DSTV, GOtv, StarTimes, etc.) and related equipment at customer premises.
- Run and conceal coaxial cables, connect decoders, modems, and other receiving devices according to industry standards and customer preferences.
- Conduct thorough signal strength tests and troubleshoot reception issues, poor picture quality, or connectivity problems efficiently.
- Educate customers on the operation of their new satellite systems, remote controls, and basic troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure all installations adhere to safety guidelines and company standards, including proper use of ladders and safety harnesses.
- Complete all necessary service reports, installation forms, and inventory tracking accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a polite, professional, and helpful demeanor at all times.
- Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure vehicles are stocked with necessary parts and supplies.
Required Skills
- Proven technical aptitude and practical experience in electronics or electrical work.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Comfortable working at heights on rooftops or elevated platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid Nigerian driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle (if applicable) for assignments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in satellite dish installation or a related field (e.g., CCTV installation, electrical wiring).
- Certification or training from a recognized technical institute or relevant industry body (e.g., MultiChoice accredited installer).
- Familiarity with various satellite systems, signal meters, and common troubleshooting techniques.
- Residency within Orlu or its immediate environs for quick response to service calls.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
