Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on estate facilities and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks across various disciplines including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and masonry.
- Assist senior technicians and facility managers with complex repair and installation projects, learning best practices on the job.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe before, during, and after tasks, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from residents or management, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, completed repairs, and material usage for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Report any major issues, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards to the facility management team immediately.
- Conduct general upkeep of the estate grounds, including minor landscaping and cleaning duties as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively, ensuring their longevity and proper function.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge and practical experience (e.g., through vocational training or informal experience) in general household or estate repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and proficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, 'can-do' approach to identifying and fixing issues.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite, respectful, and helpful demeanor.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience (at least 1 year) in a similar handyman, maintenance, or facilities support role within a residential or commercial setting.
- Valid driver's license (Class E or equivalent) for potential estate-related errands or material procurement.
- Basic computer literacy for logging tasks, accessing work orders, and communicating via email.
- First Aid certification or willingness to undergo training.
