Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate English Language Teacher (ESL) to join our esteemed faculty in Liwa Oasis, Abu Dhabi. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the linguistic development of our students within a culturally rich and supportive educational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language instruction to students of varying proficiency levels, from foundational to advanced. You will play a crucial role in building confidence, fostering effective communication skills, and preparing students for academic success and future careers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, effective English language lessons aligned with the curriculum framework and students' proficiency levels.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, teaching aids, and technological tools to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to overall school improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide activities and events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive classroom environment that promotes respect and active participation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Recognized ESL teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, TESOL, TEFL).
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time ESL teaching experience in a structured educational setting.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken (native or near-native fluency preferred).
- Proven ability to create engaging lesson plans and utilize modern teaching methodologies.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, TESOL, or a related field.
- Experience teaching English as a Second Language in the MENA region.
- Familiarity with UAE curriculum standards and educational practices.
- Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not required.
