Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic Professional Services Division located in the bustling Central Area of Abuja. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of human resource management, ensuring that HR strategies align seamlessly with our business objectives and foster a productive, positive, and compliant work environment. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the division’s leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives that effectively attract, develop, and retain top talent within our professional services arm. You will be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring that our HR practices not only adhere to best-in-class industry standards but also fully comply with all relevant local labor laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that are deeply aligned with the overall business strategy of the Professional Services Division.
  • Oversee the entire talent acquisition lifecycle, including strategic recruitment, meticulous selection, effective onboarding, and proactive retention strategies designed to attract and keep top-tier professionals.
  • Manage and expertly resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations while ensuring fairness and compliance.
  • Support current and future business needs of the division through the strategic development, robust engagement, thoughtful motivation, and diligent preservation of our valuable human capital.
  • Nurture a positive, inclusive, and high-performing working environment, driving a culture of high performance, accountability, mutual respect, and continuous improvement across all levels.
  • Oversee and effectively manage a performance appraisal system that actively drives high individual and team performance, setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a competitive pay plan and comprehensive benefits program, conducting periodic salary and benefits surveys to ensure market competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Assess training needs across the division to apply and monitor targeted training programs, coordinating effectively with external training providers where necessary to fill skill gaps.
  • Ensure complete legal compliance throughout all facets of human resource management, proactively staying up-to-date with the latest labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Provide insightful reports to management, offering data-driven decision support through the effective use of HR metrics and analytics.
  • Administer all HR policies and procedures, ensuring their fair, consistent, and transparent application across the division.
  • Oversee the meticulous management of HR data, ensuring its accuracy, confidentiality, and full compliance with all applicable data protection regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other senior HR Executive role for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics and data analysis to drive strategic decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and databases (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and their effective utilization.
  • Ability to architect and execute HR strategies effectively, coupled with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, conflict resolution, and compelling presentation skills.
  • Exceptional competence to build and effectively manage strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor law and contemporary HR best practices.
  • Superior organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a closely related field.
  • Professional HR certification from a recognized body (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI-PHR, SPHR).
  • Direct experience within the financial services industry or a large, complex corporate organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, organizational development, and talent management initiatives.
  • Proficiency with specific enterprise-level HR software solutions commonly used in large organizations.
