Adewale Adeniyi & Co. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accountant with a specialization in Corporate Finance to join our dynamic team in Wuse 2, Abuja. This professional role is pivotal in providing expert financial analysis, strategic advisory, and robust financial reporting to our corporate clients. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting businesses with critical financial decisions, including capital allocation, investment analysis, financial modeling, treasury management, and M&A support. You will work closely with senior management and clients to understand their financial objectives, develop tailored solutions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, modeling, and valuation for corporate clients, supporting investment decisions and strategic planning.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide expert advice on capital structuring, fundraising, and investment decisions to optimize client financial performance.
- Assist clients in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including comprehensive due diligence support and post-merger integration planning.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and risk assessment to safeguard client assets.
- Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, international accounting standards (IFRS/SAS), and Nigerian tax laws.
- Liaise effectively with clients, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize client performance, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
- Support internal financial audits and external regulatory reviews, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and internal controls within the firm and for clients.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accountant with a strong focus on Corporate Finance (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, capital markets, and corporate governance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills, including data analysis and pivot tables.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS/SAS and Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused professional environment.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail.
