Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon their arrival at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing table turnover.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and introducing them to their server.
- Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate estimated waiting times clearly and courteously.
- Answer phone calls professionally, handling inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders.
- Assist guests with special requests, dietary needs, or celebration arrangements.
- Ensure the host stand and entrance area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Support restaurant staff by assisting with light duties such as menu preparation, sanitizing tables, or directing guests to facilities.
- Handle guest feedback and minor complaints with professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's layout, menu, daily specials, and events.
- Collaborate with the serving staff and kitchen to ensure smooth communication regarding table status and guest needs.
