Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics in accurately diagnosing vehicle malfunctions and executing necessary repairs.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and top-ups, and filter replacements.
- Conduct thorough pre-inspection checks and execute basic diagnostic tests using specialized equipment.
- Aid in the careful disassembly and meticulous reassembly of various vehicle components, such as engine parts, braking systems, suspension components, and transmission systems.
- Maintain an impeccably clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and workshop equipment are properly accounted for, cleaned, and stored.
- Strictly adhere to all established safety procedures and guidelines within the workshop to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with team members regarding repair progress, identified issues, and required parts or tools.
- Continuously seek to improve technical knowledge and practical skills through diligent on-the-job training and active participation in workshops.
- Handle customer vehicles with utmost care and professionalism at all times.
Required Skills
- Basic foundational understanding of automotive systems and core mechanical principles.
- Proficiency in the safe and effective use of common hand and power tools typically found in vehicle repair.
