Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Tourism Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Plateau State’s history, culture, and tourist attractions. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to engage and educate visitors, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for leading guided tours, providing informative commentary, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of tourists, and promoting responsible tourism practices. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, share your passion for Plateau State, and contribute to the growth of the tourism sector. The role involves a mix of outdoor excursions and office-based tasks such as itinerary planning and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting guided tours of various tourist attractions in Plateau State.
- Providing informative and engaging commentary on the history, culture, and significance of each location.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of tourists throughout the tour.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Managing tour logistics, including transportation and scheduling.
- Developing and updating tour itineraries.
- Collaborating with other team members to enhance the overall tourist experience.
- Promoting responsible tourism practices and environmental sustainability.
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on tour activities.
Required Skills

- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- Knowledge of other languages spoken in Plateau State
- Familiar with local transportation and routes
