The George, Ikoyi, is seeking a talented and dedicated Bar Attendant to join our esteemed team, specifically to elevate the experience within our luxurious hotel lounge. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner, taking orders accurately and making informed recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and ingredients.
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately using the POS system and handle transactions responsibly.
- Conduct daily inventory checks, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of all bar supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as licensing laws regarding alcohol service.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to all requests.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including servers, kitchen team, and front desk, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist in developing new drink recipes and seasonal menus to enhance the guest experience.
- Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on new products, service techniques, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender, preferably in a hotel or upscale establishment.
- Proficiency in preparing a diverse range of cocktails and beverages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene standards and safety procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills and experience with POS systems for accurate billing.
