Job Description
GIG Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Kuje, Abuja. In this professional role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from our facility to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities, managing inventory, overseeing dispatch, and ensuring that all delivery schedules are met with precision and accuracy. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods.
- Manage and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays that may arise in transit.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and delivery activities using our logistics management systems.
- Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse and during delivery processes.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries, providing prompt and professional resolutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
