Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mason to join our growing team in Maiduguri, Borno State. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of masonry techniques, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of masonry construction, from laying bricks and blocks to installing finishes. A keen eye for quality and safety is essential. Key Responsibilities
- Laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units precisely and efficiently.
- Preparing and mixing mortar and other materials according to specifications.
- Constructing various masonry structures, including walls, columns, and fireplaces.
- Installing precast elements and other masonry components.
- Ensuring the structural integrity and stability of all masonry work.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with other construction workers.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings.
- Assisting in the completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in various masonry techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with various types of masonry materials
