Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, bricklayers, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely across the site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including clearing debris, waste, and hazardous materials.
- Dig trenches, excavate, and backfill using hand tools or assisting with machinery operation.
- Prepare and clean construction sites, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Perform general site maintenance and support duties.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling scaffolding, temporary structures, and site facilities.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Operate small hand and power tools under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (up to 25kg).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a construction or manual labour environment.
