Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Microbiologist to join our expanding Quality Control department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our pharmaceutical products. This involves conducting a wide range of microbiological tests, analyzing results, and contributing to the maintenance of our quality management system. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to adhering to strict regulatory guidelines. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team, contributing to the overall success of our quality control operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment and a thorough understanding of microbiology principles, techniques, and quality control methodologies. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential, as you will need to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Performing environmental monitoring of manufacturing facilities.
- Carrying out sterility testing of pharmaceutical products.
- Identifying and characterizing microorganisms using various techniques.
- Analyzing microbiological data and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with GMP guidelines.
- Participating in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of microbiological testing methods.
- Collaborating with other members of the Quality Control team to ensure the highest standards of quality.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of microbiology principles and techniques.
- Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment.
- Proficiency in various microbiological testing methods (e.g., sterility testing, microbial identification, environmental monitoring).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Microbiology or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., WHO, FDA).
