Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash-up area, kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Assist in the proper disposal of kitchen waste and recycling materials according to health and safety regulations.
- Support chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or transferring ingredients, as needed.
- Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and rotated to minimize waste.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager.
- Adhere strictly to all food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Assist in deep cleaning tasks and scheduled kitchen maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall kitchen and restaurant operations.
