Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced live-in Nanny to provide comprehensive childcare for our two children. This full-time position requires a professional who is passionate about child development and can create a safe, stimulating, and loving atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the children’s daily care, including educational activities, meal preparation, hygiene, and supervision. Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, attentive care and supervision for two children (aged 3 and 6).
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, adhering to dietary needs.
- Assist with daily routines including bathing, dressing, bedtime, and potty training (for the younger child).
- Organize and engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, creative play, and outdoor excursions.
- Help with homework and school projects for the older child.
- Manage children's schedules, including school runs, playdates, and appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including their bedrooms, play areas, and toys.
- Ensure the children's safety at all times, both inside and outside the home.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding the children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and manage medication according to parental instructions.
- Foster good manners, respect, and social skills in the children.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable nanny or professional childcare experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
- Ability to plan and execute age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of child development and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High level of reliability, responsibility, and discretion.
- Must be able to live-in with the family.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Knowledge of multiple languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
- Experience with school-aged children and toddlers simultaneously.
- CPR and advanced First Aid certification.
