Jokers Hotel & Suites is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Attendant to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional looking for a live-in role within a thriving hotel lounge environment in Odogunyan, Ikorodu. As a Bar Attendant, you will be the face of our lounge, responsible for delivering an outstanding beverage experience to our guests. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, according to hotel standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, recommending drinks and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including glassware, bar tools, and ingredients.
- Accurately process cash and card payments using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels for all bar supplies, notify management of shortages, and assist with ordering and stocking.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service laws.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar, including setting up and breaking down equipment.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff, including servers and kitchen team, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Uphold the hotel's reputation for exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bar Attendant or Bartender, preferably within a hotel or high-volume lounge setting.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent numeracy skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Fluent in English (verbal communication).
