Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Assistant with a primary focus on packaging duties to join our dynamic team in Rulindo. This is a critical role that ensures the efficient and accurate processing of our premium tea products from production lines into their final packaging, ready for distribution to markets worldwide. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and presentation of our high-quality teas. Your daily tasks will involve operating packaging machinery, meticulous inspection of products, ensuring correct labeling, and preparing packaged goods for storage or shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations and uphold SORWATHE’s standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Perform accurate and efficient packaging of finished tea products according to specific guidelines and standards.
- Inspect packaged items for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Assist in the receiving, unpacking, and storage of incoming packaging materials and components.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the packaging area and general warehouse.
- Prepare packaged products for dispatch, including palletizing, wrapping, and loading onto trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of packaged goods and packaging materials.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, quality control procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or packaging role.
- Familiarity with operating packaging machinery or equipment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or basic record-keeping.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
