Bidvest Prestige is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor – Residential Complex (Team Leader) to oversee our cleaning operations at a prominent residential complex in Soweto, Gauteng. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and resident satisfaction across the entire complex.
As a Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of managing our cleaning staff, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team within the residential complex.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas (common areas, communal facilities, outdoor spaces) are meticulously maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are consistently met and maintained.
- Train new cleaning staff and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to existing team members.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
- Address and resolve resident complaints or concerns regarding cleaning services promptly and professionally.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on team performance, completed tasks, and any operational challenges.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with hands-on cleaning tasks when necessary to ensure deadlines are met and standards upheld.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities management environment.
- Proven experience in managing cleaning teams, preferably within a residential or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of modern cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical usage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office for reporting).
