Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections and ordering decisions.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, inputting them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Ensure tables, chairs, and dining areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with condiments and cutlery.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve minor complaints professionally and promptly.
- Process payments accurately using the cash register and POS system, managing cash and card transactions.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as assembling orders and packaging, when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, counter, and front-of-house service area.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by the supervisor, including cleaning and restocking.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service skills and a consistently friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse customers and colleagues.
- Basic numeracy for handling cash, making change, and processing orders accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., trays, stock).

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a fast-food or full-service restaurant setting.

- Ability to speak local languages in addition to English (e.g., Dholuo, Kiswahili) is a plus.
- A valid Food Handler's Certificate from a recognized health authority.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
