Job Description
As a Research Assistant at Federal University Dutse, you will be an integral part of our research ecosystem, supporting faculty members and principal investigators in executing diverse research projects. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough literature reviews to support research proposals and ongoing projects.
- Assist in the design and development of research methodologies, including data collection tools (surveys, interview guides, etc.).
- Collect and manage research data through various methods, including fieldwork, surveys, interviews, and laboratory experiments.
- Organize, clean, and maintain research databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Perform preliminary data analysis using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel).
- Contribute to the drafting and editing of research reports, journal articles, grant proposals, and presentations.
- Prepare visual aids, graphs, and charts to present research findings effectively.
- Support the coordination of research activities, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and handling logistics.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities, including protocols, data, and outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and seminars to discuss research progress and findings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Public Health, Statistics)
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or enrollment in a Master's program in a relevant discipline.
