Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Hotel Cleaner with an advantage for prior housekeeping experience to join our dedicated Housekeeping team at Graceland Hotel Casino and Country Club. As a Hotel Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in upholding our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and presentable at all times. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and hygienic environment that exceeds guest expectations, contributing directly to the overall positive experience our guests have during their stay. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Dust furniture, sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
- Change linen, make beds, and replenish amenities in guest rooms.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and floors.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly.
- Handle guest requests and queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets and storage areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to clean and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a hotel housekeeping or similar cleaning role.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry cleaning standards and procedures.
- A hospitality-related certificate or vocational training would be an advantage.
