Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product information and recommendations.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and assist with stock replenishment and rotation.
- Process returns and exchanges efficiently, adhering to company policies and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with patience and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as store operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily sales targets and maintain high operational standards.
- Assist in opening and closing store procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and counting change
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a retail or customer service role
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Knowledge of an additional language (e.g., French) is a plus
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
