Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile money payments, ensuring correct change is given.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
- Scan products, verify prices, and apply discounts or promotions as applicable.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Assist customers with bagging groceries and other purchases.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling and security.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during evening shifts.
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding any operational concerns or customer feedback.
