Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily general cleaning tasks for private residences, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors, ensuring a hygienic and fresh environment.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances (exterior), sinks, and maintain overall kitchen tidiness and organization.
- Empty waste bins, manage refuse collection, and ensure proper disposal according to household procedures.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors, ensuring streak-free, crystal-clear results.
- Replenish household supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and towels as needed, ensuring continuous availability.
- Handle delicate items and surfaces with extreme care and attention, preventing damage.
- Follow specific cleaning instructions and preferences provided by clients or the company with precision.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly and proactively.
- Maintain a high level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for clients' privacy and property at all times.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely, efficiently, and stored properly after each use.
- Adhere strictly to company safety standards and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in private residences or a similar hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of various cleaning techniques, appropriate products, and efficient use of equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough, meticulous approach to all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete daily duties within set timeframes.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting (light to moderate items), and repetitive motions throughout the day.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in a client's private space.
- Basic communication skills in Kinyarwanda or English to understand instructions and convey information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with a professional cleaning service or agency.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and the safe use of green products.
- A certificate or vocational training in housekeeping, hygiene management, or a related field.
