Job Description

Are you a motivated and detail-driven individual with a passion for operations and logistics? Valley Springs Beverages is looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Team Member to join our growing logistics team in Kajiado, Kajiado County. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, managing products with care from receipt to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders and checking for damage or discrepancies.

• Accurately sort, label, and store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization and adherence to inventory management principles.

• Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately, preparing them for dispatch according to established procedures and customer requirements.

• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines and safety protocols.

• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling any discrepancies, contributing to accurate stock records.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to Valley Springs Beverages’ health and safety standards and procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

• Assist in loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.

• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor promptly.

• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in warehouse operations and logistics.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work, particularly with inventory and order fulfillment.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and understanding instructions.

• Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a certificate in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.

• Valid forklift operator certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.

• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards within a warehouse setting.

• Previous experience working with alcoholic beverages or perishable goods.
