Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect, transport, and deliver mail, parcels, and other items to designated locations within Nyamasheke and its environs.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to scheduled pickup and delivery times.
- Maintain your personal vehicle in excellent working condition, performing daily checks and ensuring regular servicing to guarantee reliability and safety.
- Handle all delivered items with care and professionalism, ensuring their security and integrity from pickup to delivery.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing POSTA Rwanda's commitment to exceptional service.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, maintain records of packages, and handle cash or electronic payments as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan driving license (Category B or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in courier or delivery services.
- Ownership of a reliable and well-maintained vehicle suitable for courier services (e.g., motorcycle, car, small van).
- Excellent knowledge of Nyamasheke district roads, shortcuts, and traffic patterns.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with a courier company or logistics provider.
