Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and engaging in friendly conversation.
- Handle cash and card transactions using a POS system, ensuring accuracy and proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee station and service area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, reporting needs to management.
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating needs and resolving any issues promptly and courteously.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the coffee shop service.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and various coffee types.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
