Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linen, towels, and guest laundry in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and irons, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, particularly regarding the safe handling of chemicals and hot equipment.
- Monitor laundry supplies, report low stock levels to supervisors, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Inspect all items meticulously for stains or damage before and after washing, ensuring high-quality output and guest satisfaction.
- Process special guest requests for laundry services with utmost attention to detail, discretion, and efficiency.
- Keep the laundry area consistently clean, organized, and tidy at all times, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
- Assist with the efficient delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen to and from various hotel departments as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and supervisors regarding laundry operations, issues, or challenges.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment, embodying the hotel's values of service excellence and teamwork.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a cohesive team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags and equipment safely.
