Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and offloading of beverage products onto delivery vehicles and from incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and product integrity.
- Verify product quantities against delivery notes and manifests, reporting any discrepancies immediately to the supervisor.
- Organize and stack products efficiently and safely within the warehouse, maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Support delivery drivers during routes, including providing navigation assistance, assisting with product handling at delivery points, and ensuring timely service.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on vehicles to ensure they are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary tools or documentation.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and general warehouse upkeep as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with warehouse supervisors, drivers, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism during deliveries, representing CCBSA positively.
- Participate actively in training and development programs to enhance skills, knowledge, and career progression opportunities within the company.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in checking orders and managing stock.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for verifying quantities and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols diligently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery assistant role.
- A valid Code 8 (B) driver's license would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Forklift operator certificate (Reach Truck or Counterbalance) is a plus.
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
