We are seeking highly motivated and physically capable Construction Labourers to join our dynamic team on a significant building project in Karu, Abuja. This is a temporary position, offering an excellent opportunity to gain experience with an industry leader. As a Construction Labourer, you will be an integral part of our site operations, supporting skilled tradesmen and ensuring the smooth and efficient progress of construction activities. Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks as needed.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, digging, compacting, and performing other general labour tasks.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including waste removal and site tidiness.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform site preparation and clean-up duties at the beginning and end of each workday.
- Assist in the erection and dismantling of temporary structures and scaffolding, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Undertake any other general labour duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and endurance to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
