Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming merchandise, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Efficiently stock shelves, displays, and promotional areas according to company planograms and merchandising standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify low stock items, and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized sales floor and stockroom at all times.
- Verify product pricing and ensure all items are correctly labeled and displayed.
- Assist with setting up new product displays and promotional materials to attract customer attention.
- Report any damaged or expired products to management for appropriate action.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure product availability and support a positive customer experience.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and operational guidelines established by the supermarket.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 20kg).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues and follow instructions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail environment (even informal or part-time) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Kinyarwanda and basic English communication skills.
