Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor with a strong focus on team management to oversee our residential cleaning operations in Gakenke, Northern Province. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our residential cleaning teams, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scheduling cleaning staff, managing supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring complete client satisfaction within designated residential complexes and private homes. This role requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a natural ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. You will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring that our cleaning teams consistently exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of residential cleaning staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage cleaning schedules, assigning tasks and areas to team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of duties.
  • Conduct regular inspections of residential properties to ensure cleaning quality meets or exceeds client expectations and company benchmarks.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of all tools.
  • Address and resolve client complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations for cleaning staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed by the cleaning team.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new cleaning personnel as needed.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on team activities, progress, and challenges for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, preferably within a cleaning or facilities management setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for scheduling and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in residential settings.
  • Ability to handle demanding situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • A valid Rwandan driving license (Category B) is essential for transportation to various sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Experience working with diverse residential client profiles.
  • First Aid and Safety certification.
