Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, ambulation, and transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including changing bed linens and tidying patient rooms.
- Support nurses in various procedures and treatments as directed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members, providing emotional support when needed.
- Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse promptly.
- Assist with the collection of specimens (e.g., urine, stool) as instructed and ensure proper labeling.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Document care provided to patients accurately and in a timely manner, under the guidance of supervising nurses.
