Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional, experienced, and discreet Executive Household Driver to join a private household team, managed by Prime Facilities Management. This is a crucial live-in role, requiring unwavering dedication to safety, punctuality, and impeccable service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of executives and their families, managing their daily schedules, appointments, and personal errands primarily within Lagos Island and surrounding areas. This position demands more than just driving; it requires a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, maintain absolute confidentiality, and ensure the assigned vehicle(s) are always in pristine condition and operational readiness. You will be an integral part of ensuring the smooth running of daily activities for a discerning household, operating with the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and personal presentation. Your ability to navigate Lagos’s complex road networks efficiently and safely, combined with a meticulous approach to vehicle maintenance, will be paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, punctual, and reliable transportation for executives and their families to various destinations, including business meetings, appointments, social engagements, and personal errands.
- Plan efficient and optimal routes, considering real-time traffic patterns, road conditions, and security implications to ensure timely and safe arrivals.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in immaculate condition, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness, regular servicing schedules, and promptly addressing any minor repairs or maintenance issues.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip checks on vehicle fluids, tire pressure, lights, brakes, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
- Manage all vehicle-related documentation, including insurance, registration, licensing, and roadworthiness certificates, ensuring all are current and valid.
- Adhere strictly to all Nigerian traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, packages, groceries, and other items with care and efficiency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the family's privacy, personal information, and daily affairs, acting with the utmost professionalism.
- Be available for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, as required by the household’s dynamic schedule.
- Perform other ad-hoc household-related tasks or errands as requested, demonstrating a proactive, helpful, and adaptable attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in an executive or private household setting.
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of Lagos road networks, traffic laws, alternative routes, and peak-hour avoidance strategies.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and a proven track record of safe vehicle operation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine checks.
- Strong sense of responsibility, exceptional punctuality, and superior time management capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, integrity, and a polished personal presentation.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
