Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finds with clients to understand their financial circumstances, needs, and objectives.
- Research and recommend suitable mortgage products from a wide panel of lenders, including high street, private, and specialist providers.
- Prepare and submit accurate mortgage applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, lenders, solicitors, and other relevant parties throughout the mortgage process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, interest rates, and regulatory changes (e.g., FCA, MMR).
- Adhere strictly to all compliance procedures and company policies, ensuring ethical and responsible lending practices.
- Proactively build and maintain client relationships, fostering trust and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Identify and explore cross-selling opportunities for related financial products where appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute positively to the team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Required Skills
- CeMAP qualification (or equivalent recognised mortgage qualification).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a fully qualified Mortgage Broker.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK mortgage market and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in mortgage sourcing software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy pipeline of clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dealing with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and complex lending scenarios.
- Additional financial planning qualifications (e.g., DipFA, CeRER).
