Job Description
Rolls-Royce is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Indianapolis team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and a proven ability to lead and implement improvement projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Lead and manage manufacturing improvement projects, from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and challenges.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process specifications and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Conduct time studies and capacity planning to ensure efficient production schedules.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
