Job Description

Rolls-Royce is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Indianapolis team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and a proven ability to lead and implement improvement projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Lead and manage manufacturing improvement projects, from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process specifications and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Conduct time studies and capacity planning to ensure efficient production schedules.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Project management experience.
